UCP_ADJ	Proposed Uncompensated Care Payment Factor is the proportion of the additional payment amount for uncompensated care costs that a DSH hospital will receive under the  implementation of Section 3133 of the Affordable Care Act. The  Proposed Uncompensated Care Payment Factor is the hospital's  uncompensated care costs relative to all DSH hospital's  uncompensated care costs. DSH hospitals are identified as those hospitals that are projected to receive DSH for FY 2015.
UCP Per Claim Amount	Proposed FY 2015 Uncompensated Care Per Claim Amount based on a hospital's assigned Uncompensated Care Payment amount divided by the 3 year claims average based on MedPARs from FY10-FY13. Per Claim Amount is used in determination of outliers and used in to determine if the SCH is paid on a hospital specific rate or federal rate on a per claim basis.

Proposed Readmission Adjustment Factor	"Proposed Payment adjustment for Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program (Section 3025 of Affordable Care Act). Maryland and Puerto Rico hospitals are exempt from the payment adjustment. Proposed Readmission Adjustment Factors are based on excess readmission ratios from an older performance period of July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2012 and will be updated based on excess readmission ratios from the finalized performance period of July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2013 in the final rule. Proposed payment adjustment factor includes expansion to five readmissions measures, AMI, PN, HF, COPD and TKA/THA for FY 2015. "
Proxy Hospital Acquired Conditions Reduction Program Flag	Variable identifies the proposed set of hospitals subject to the 1 percent payment reduction to total IPPS payments for FY 2015 under the Hospital Acquired Conditions Reduction Program (Section 3008 of the Affordable Care Act) based on proxy data. Hospitals ranking in theworst performing quartile of HAC scores are subject to the 1 percent reduction. A Y indicates that the hospital is subject to the reduction based on the proxy data.
